At UBS, from 01 July 2019, each cash withdrawal will cost 2.-. For the time being, this applies "only" to cash withdrawals at a bank counter.
The significant thing is that students and young people, i.e. those who have hardly any money, and the ultra high net worth individuals, i.e. people with at least 50,000,000 SFr. in assets, are exempt.
Is this the beginning of the end for cash?
